Job Description

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: 

Responsible for assembling orders and preparing for shipment.  Receives incoming shipments and distributes to proper departments/locations in inventory.  Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record to use company vehicles as needed.  Must be able to lift a minimum of 35 pounds.  Reports to the Materials Manager.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Efficient use of scales for quantity counts
  2. Be able to identify and label parts, if incorrect, refuse shipment
  3. General Knowledge of computer keyboard, receive/ship out, print travel sheets
  4. Familiarity of all shipping methods, knowledge of UPS/Fed EX software
  5. Expertise in shipping materials (packing, boxes, tape, pallets, etc)
  6. Ability to take the packing slips and verify correct parts are being shipped, the correct method of shipping is used and the correct paperwork is attached.
  7. Perform Inventory Cycle counts
  8. Update activities in software and sign process sheet
